It keeps stock levels, purchase orders, sales orders and production records in one place, updating in real time as transactions happen.

Unleashed is popular among food and beverage producers, health supplement brands, electronics distributors, wholesale importers and specialty manufacturers. 

Founding and acquisition by The Access Group

Founded in 2009 in Auckland, New Zealand, Unleashed initially targeted B2B traders who had outgrown spreadsheets but didn't need a full ERP. The company was acquired by the UK-based vendor The Access Group in November 2020.

Core features

• Inventory management: Stock levels update automatically as sales and purchases are processed, and users can monitor inventory across multiple warehouses. Barcode scanning, serial number tracking, and batch tracking are all supported. Useful for businesses with traceability requirements or expiry date management.

• Purchase order management: Covers the full procurement cycle from purchase order creation to updating stock on receipt. Supplier management tools let teams record preferred suppliers, pricing and reorder points for each product.

• Sales and order management: Handles quotes, sales orders, and shipments. Prices can be set per customer or customer group, and orders can feed directly into pick, pack and dispatch workflows.

• Production management (Pro plan only): Multi-level BOM, assembly and disassembly jobs, component allocation and production reporting.

• Demand planning and replenishment: Uses historical sales data to generate forecasts and purchasing recommendations. Also includes MRP for production-based businesses.

• Warehouse management: Available as either a built-in module (Pro plan) or an add-on. The app supports multi-bin location tracking, mobile scanning, pick-and-pack workflows and offline mode.

• Reporting and business intelligence: Ranges from standard stock and sales reports to more advanced dashboards via the Access Analytics integration. Core and Pro plans include more comprehensive reporting capabilities than the entry-level Lite plan.
